Zeppelin Universität (ZU) in Friedrichshafen on the Lake of Constance is a state-recognized, private university with BA, MA and doctoral programs in the fields of business, culture and politics. It is committed to interdisciplinarity, internationality and individuality in research and teaching.
We are seeking to fill the following part-time position (65%) at the earliest possible date:
Academic Researcher (Predoc) at the Chair of International Security Policy
The position is initially limited to a period of three years.
Your Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the activities of the Chair and the wider university community in the areas of research, teaching, and administration
• Teach courses in International Relations, International Security Policy, and/or Peace and Conflict Studies (3 teaching hours per week)
• Participate in the preparation of academic publications and scholarly events
• Conduct independent research toward the completion of a doctoral degree (PhD)
Your Profile:
• Excellent Master's degree in Political Science or a related discipline
• Strong interest in pursuing a PhD in International Relations, International Security Policy, and/or Peace and Conflict Studies
• Solid methodological skills and an interest in interdisciplinary research
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Prior teaching experience is desirable
